All you are doing is changing the physical device. That is a pretty smooth transition. Your bill and plan will not be affected so there is no need to change anything to do with the bill.

Based off what you're stating you'd have to pay off the tab balance if any owing on your tab. At which point, you can redeem your tab again towards another phone.
Well my mom has a tab with this phone and yeah I turn it on and off

Based on what we are talking about, turning it on and off has no relevance UNLESS you are stating that as an answer to a unasked question such as "have you turned the phone off then back on?"

So your Mom will have to pay the full amount off the tab in full before you can get the new phone. She can pay the full amount owing at the time of you getting the new phone or she can have the full amount of the tab that's owing added to the next bill and pay it off then. So if you still owe $100 on the tab then your mom would have to pay $100 at the time of getting the new phone or pay the $100 on the next bill plus the amount of the bill it's self.

Ok so if your mom still has a negative TAB balance, you will need to clear that off and depending on what kind of TAB(s) your mom was approved for then you can get the full TAB discounts off the new phone. Its just a simple upgrade, but if it's under your moms name she will need to be there 🙂 TAB S gives you $150 off --> you pay $475, can keep same rate plan TAB M can give you $300 off --> you pay $325 but may have to change rate plan and add a $5 tab contribution as well. TAB L can give you $500 off --> you pay $125, will have to change to a TAB L plan
