I switched my plan and can't get data to work. Help please


I recently switched my phone plan to the $30 plan to have 100 mb of data. But I can't get it to turn on. When I select to turn on data, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

If you just changed it, it's possible it needs an hour but not usually. Turn on airplane mode and turn it off then reboot the phone.
I changed it yesterday and tried all of that. When I turn it on it doesn't work

Do you have a data block on your account? Switching to a plan with data will n automatically remove it.
I'm not sure, how do I find that out?

Check your self-serve for a data block MMS only add-on I it's there. If data is on in your phone and network mode is set to include wcdma and LTE and that add-on is not on then you will likely need to contact Koodo to have a data block that y cannot see removed.
Okay I will have to try that. Could that have something to do with the fact that it is a second hand phone maybe?

Also be sure to check for your APN settings that they match this : https://apn-canada.gishan.net/settings/838_4_koodo_mobile_apn_settings_for_apple_iphone_6.php

Looks good. If its still not working then restart your phone, pull your Sim card ou and in. If sti nothing to resetting network settings via step 6 here: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201415 It will erase wi-fi networks saved and check APN settings afterwards.

Have you checked if you had a data block on? Did your last plan have data or not?
