I purchased Int'l Roaming Add-On ($40). Do I do anything more b4 leaving for England, or once I arrive, so it works properly? Lesley R.


Need the phone for work purposes, and am travelling to England.  Have purchased the $40 International Roaming Add-On and received confirmation that it is active for 30 days.  Is there anything further I must do before leaving, or once I arrive in England to ensure it works accordingly? Thanks in advance. - Lesley R.

Check your plan add-ons in self-serve. Enable international voice roaming and international data roaming then restart the phone. Some people have complained they can’t find one or the other add-ons by using the Koodo app on the phone itself. In that case, use your browser and connect to self-serve that way. Both are listed at $0 per month and are needed in order to make any kind of connection outside North America.

I know I will sound like a techno-dumb-dumb-stupid-head but, I can find how to turn on international data roaming on my iPhone 4, but not "voice" roaming. I will see what I can find on the web.  I take it that I do this once in England? Or does it matter?

No such setting as Voice roaming, so that's why you won't find it. You would use Airplane Mode to barr that activity on your phone.

Just make sure the options BobTheElectrician described in your Koodo account self-serve are set up before you leave. Easiest to do this from your computer!
