Or if you don't meet the above laid out criteria you can u lock through a 3rd party unlocking service such as gsmliberty.com or Cellunlocker.Net or even find unlocking services on eBay. However for an iPhone its cheaper to get the carrier to unlock it at half or a third of three cost. If you had an android the services above are much cheaper especially eBay.
