I just switched my iphone from Telus and now my data doesn't work.


Just switched from Telus to Koodo and everything works except for data. I'm pretty sure this is an APN thing but I don't know what information to enter. Any help?

What iPhone do you have? This is pretty weird since it should work with no settings to do!

Sync the phone to itunes and update the carrier settings.

You can also try to get a carrier settings update by going into Settings, General, then About. If this method works it will automatically prompt you to update.

If it's iPhone 3G or older, data services won't work. If your iPhone is 3GS or higher, than you may want to check your settings or sync to iTunes and update.
Have Kooko rep do the setting. I had my wife's iPhone 4S from Telus to Koodo and it was setup by Koodo rep. Peace of mind.

You only get the menu to change the APN settings if it's jailbroken.

It's setup in a way that the carrier settings configure everything for you so you don't have to mess with it. Only times you have issues is if you try to use it with a carrier who doesn't carry iPhones (and thus there is no carrier settings to donwload).
