Question

I asked for a switch of my home phone line to my cell yesterday and today i have issues texting some people

What phone are you using? and what plan are you on? Was your cellphone with Koodo before?

When you say home phone line do you mean Koodo wireless home phone or someone else's wireless home phone or an actual land line you ported to mobile?

It can take a few days for the port of a landline to complete, and even then it can complete in steps whereby things work in one direction, but not in  the other. It can also take time for the changes made to be updated on other carrier's servers.

My home line was with Cogeco and I decided to cut that service and keep my phone number to be used on my cell which is an iPhone 6.  The switch was initiated Friday afternoon.  At the moment when I receive a phone call it still rings on my home based phone meaning the transfer is not completed yet I believe

Cogeco will be on the long end of the scale to release the number to Koodo. You can contact Cogeco to discuss release timelines.
