i can’t make an calls every time I try it says my phone isn’t connected to the network

The sim did work fine in the other phone the phone was unlocked

If you still have problems after that, the phone was likely blacklisted (stolen/lost phone) or something was wrong with the hardware.

Were you "texting" by SMS or imessage? and Did the SIM work fine before in another phone? what did it say in the top left of your iPhone screen?

Make sure if you bought from someone else, the phone was unlocked and NOT blacklisted. https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/

I just got the phone I can text but can’t make any calls I just put my SIM card from my other iPhone into the new iPhone

Where did you get your new phone? From Koodo or third party?
Can you make phone call if you put the SIM back into your old phone? (Just want to make sure that your SIM is not damaged)

Could you provide some more detail?
Did you just get the phone/sim card? Did it work before? Can you still text or use data? Have you tried restarting your phone?
