How can an existing customer switch to a promo plan?

My plan is Canada wide $45 and I found a better plan (more minutes and data)for the same money in the promotion but it is not shown in switch to this plan section. How can I switch to this better plan?

You should be able to switch via self serve. If you aren't it may be because you still have some remaining tab you would need to pay. Is that the case?
Hi Robert!
Yes, I have some remaining tab and though I don't understand what tab has to do with changing to promo plans I say thank you for you prompt answer! Nina

Hello Nina. Koodo decided to change its tab system from one that he contributes 15% to one that he doesn't contribute anymore. In exchange they lowered plan prices proportionally. Therefore in order to go from the old tab system to the new tab system you need to pay off your tab. Once paid you'll be able to chose from the new plans offered by Koodo If my explanation wasn't clear do not hesitate toask more questions

Thanks Robert!
In the old tab system (I am on now) who is contributing 15%? I thought I am paying $5/month towards the tab and that's it untill it is paid off. Everything gets more and more complicated for a dummy like me-:) I managed to switch to the same money $45 plan (not a promo) with more minutes (from 300 to 500) and hope there will be no hidden fees and surprises-:)

Please keep the conversation related to one question only. I think you already made a separate post for that question

Yeah it's a mistake.
The prepaid info im looking at doesn't include forwarding.

With monthly customers it's an extra $3 a month.
Not sure if available to prepaid customers.

Hi Nina.
This gentlemen is just accidentally posting his question in the wrong forum.
It is unrelated to your question.
There is no $3 charge for you 🙂

If you've had your phone for longer than the current tab system has been out, then you may only choose from the plans that were out then.

If you have a newer device then you will be able to see all the current plans and switch to them at any time.

Which plan are you thinking about moving to?

@Nina when you go through chanign your plan online you will see a pink banner on top the says "check out our new plan". Click on that to see the new plans. The is done for customers who are on our old tab system. Switching to new plan means you have to give up earning positive tab and/or if you had the 10% discount for BYOD.

If I got it right I am on In the old tab system and  I am paying $5/month towards the tab and that's it untill it is paid off I suppose. Everything gets more and more complicated for a dummy like me-:) However, I managed to switch to the same money $45 Canada Wide plan (not a promo) with more minutes (from 300 to 500) and hope there will be no hidden fees and surprises-:) Thanks for your help!

Bring Your Own Device. It was a 10% discount on older plans if you didn't take a tab.
