Hello Rommel,

You need to call Koodo in order to unlock your iPhone. Dial *611 from your Koodo phone to do that.
Thanks Robert. Unfortunately im here in the Philippines. My dad gave it to me as a.gift and when i insert my local sim it says sim not supported. My dad sent his account and PIN to me. what do i need to do next given with the account andd PIN. Thank you.

You will have to call Koodo. The number can be found in the contact us section at the bottom of the page.

The phone needs to be active on the Koodo network before it can be unlocked. You can either insert a Koodo SIM while in the Philippines (risk of overages) so it is registered with Koodo, or return it to Canada, where a family member can add it to their account and unlock it, and then return it to you.

Until the phone is registered to the Koodo network by the use of a Koodo SIM, it can't be unlocked by Koodo and would have to be unlocked by a third party unlock service.

Once the Koodo SIM is inserted, and the phone is connected to a cellular network, you should be able to call Koodo, and request an unlock. I suggest Skype as the cheapest way to call.

So i MUST have a Koodo Sim as required for unlocking phones. Right? Or is there any other option without koodo sim except using third party services? I just have the account and pin of my father. Thanks David.

Effectively, the phone needs to be able to connect to Koodo through the cellular network for an unlock to proceed. The SIM I the phone must be registered to the account which will request the unlock.

With iPhones there is no code to unlock. It is server based and the phone will need to be registered ad unlocked on apple's systems. How you you know the 3rd party was a scam? Have you tried rebooting your phone?
