Emergency Alerts never send

I have an iPhone 7, which is fully updated, and I don’t receive government alerts of any kind. I don’t even have the ‘government alerts’ header in my notification tab, and I have no idea how to get alerts without it on my phone. i’ve had three different cellphones and three different phone numbers on two different carriers (currently i am with Koodo) with this issue and I have no clue what to do about this. i’ve reset my phone to factory, tried a hard shut off, etc, and nothing changes. how can I get government alerts? thank you!!

Follow the instructions in the link below for your iphone to make sure they're enabled.. They should be enabled by default if you don't have the setting to enable.

Make sure LTE is enabled on your phone as well.

Canadian iPhones should not have a setting for government alerts, so there is nothing to turn on. So far, I have received only the two tests, so in some areas, they are very infrequent.

You can also receive alerts through the Weather Network App on your phone for locations you include in your watch list. Unfortunately it does not address the ‘follow me’ locations.

That's interesting. There's a setting for them on my koodo S9+. It's under the text message settings. I'm not entirely sure it does anything though.
