DNS Using all my data

I am very careful in my data usage, but for the last few months, I've nearly gone over due to "DNS" services. I don't allow background app refresh and have turned off cellular data for all my apps, but the DNS issue won't go away. I've also cleared all my browser history, turned my iPhone off and back on again (for all the IT nerds), and nothing has helped. This spontaneously started happening and I can't seem to figure it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am on an iPhoneSE and have all the latest updates.
Thanks!

Hi,
Where did you check your data usage? Can you take a snapahot of it (delete all personal information before posting pls). For iPhone the option is limited regarding DNS. You could turn off your wifi-assist. It might help to avoid accidentally switch to mobile data when wifi signal is weak.

DNS = Domain Name Server. It is the computer server that converts, for instance, "Koodomobile.com" to the IP address (35.182.143.28) so the site can be found. It should not be consuming more than a few bytes of data. How much data are you seeing used?
Up to 100 MG per month.
The DNS usage shows under system services.

Tried searching a bit, some of these seem fairly old (iOS 10 issues) but might be helpful?

I'll give those a try. I have been looking for a few weeks already.
Thanks
