Data usage summary does not match the detailed usage


I recently added an iphone to my account and the data usage summary says 650MB, however when I look at the detailed usage it says 2GB (which matches what the phone's tracker says). When I look at my other two lines the summary and detailed info is accurate (both android). Why is this?

Have you reset the iPhone at the beginning of each billing period? It does not do so itself.

Because iPhone's data calculation system is stupid and you can't set it to restart every month. On the other hand, Android does it by itself, that's why the difference

Alternately, the iPhone reset works better with prepaid options such as Public Mobiles 120 day plan.

Is it a new line, or just a new phone? For new activations the first ten days of data are usually zero rated, which means that the first ten days of usage wouldn't have counted toward your monthly limit.
Yes! It is a new activation, so that makes sense!
