Data usage does not seem correct


Within the first week of a billing period I received a notice that I've used 50% of my monthly data but nothing unusual going on with my phone usage. I didn't receive any messages for usage warnings at all last month as an example. Is it possible it hasn't reset yet, the end of my billing period is the 24th.

Go to Settings > Cellular and look at the volumes of data used by each app to see if any jump out for use. You can also "Reset Statistics' at the bottom of the screen an see what happens over the next few days as far as data use goes.

Holy FaceBook Batman! I have no idea what's going on with that recently but definitely they changed something on background usage. I shut off the mobile data usage for now. Thanks for the reply David.

A-HA!!  Make sure your Facebook settings prevent auto-run of video. THAT can consume immense amounts of data without seeming to do so.
