Data Block with Picture Messaging Add on - not working

I got my kids each an iPhone with a monthly plan just for calls and texting. No data. A couple of months ago I added the $2 Data Block with Picture Messaging. Neither of them can receive or send photos. Does this Add-On even work? I'm paying for nothing, it seems. I don't see a phone number or email address on the website where I can contact Koodo directly to ask them about it.

Even with the block added, data needs to be enabled on the device to get messages mms Ensure data is on and try again

Sorry ... After browsing some other posts I did notice that the Data needs to be turned on. I did edit my post because I don't want my kids inadvertently using Data. My plan is $25/month. 100 Local minutes, unlimited texting and pay-per-use-data. With the "pay-per-use-data" and Data turned on, will they be able to use Data at all or will I get charged?

Did you confirm that the APN settings are set properly? https://apn-canada.gishan.net/settings/838_4_koodo_mobile_apn_settings_for_apple_iphone_6.php Is data turned on in phone settings? If after both isn't working restart your phone, pull the sim card out an in. Then reset network settings. Do step 6 here an it will reset APN and delete save wi-fi connections so make sure to go back and make sure APN data and MMS is set properly: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201415 Also you can call 611 from your phone and contact info is available via "contact us" at the bottom of koodomobile.com but we should be able to help you here!

@ Vicki, Chad is correct, if data is turned off on your kids' phones they won't be able to do anything. The data block protects uou from incurring any additional data charges. Pictures messaging will work but not browsing the internet, unless in wi-fi.

Even with a plan that has "pay-per-use data"?

That's what you are paying for, Vicki, you don't have to worry about data usage 🙂

Even with that. All data is "choked" at the account level except for sending pics. You can have peace of mind Vicki. :-)

I purchased a 30 day unlimited text and talk for my daughter and myself for the U.S. She has an iphone and it is eating up all the data and she doesn't know how to text without using the data.  My phone allows texting and doesn't charge data I have an LG.  How can she correct this?

She will have to turn off imessage so texts are sent conventionally. Simple texts should have taking up a very minimal amount of data via I message though, as one character is one byte. Sending MMS will hurt though. Here is how to: http://osxdaily.com/2014/04/15/disable-imessage-ios/
