Just wondering if certified pre owned phones should have a maximum battery capacity of 100% if it’s listed as “like new”.
Just received mine in the mail and it’s 94% but wasn’t sure if that’s normal.
thanks!

Which phone did you purchase?
Did you charge the phone fully prior to usage?
“Like-new” phones are essentially brand new phones, the battery reading (94%) should not be that low. If you’re not satisfied with this phone, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return the phone.

That’s normal. It is a certified pre-owned phone, so it’s bound to be used before. Having a battery capacity of 94% is still good.
You shouldn’t need to worry about its condition at this point. When you buy a CPO phone from Koodo, it includes a 1-year warranty, so you will be covered for any repairs needed for the manufacturer’s defects during this period. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/certified-pre-owned-phones
For a “like-new” phone to have 94% battery capacity after only 15 or 30 days of use is not in like-new condition, nor is this normal. A 6% drop in battery capacity indicates premature wear. Under normal circumstances, this kind of wear takes place over the course of a year or two or more, depending on how well the battery is maintained. The battery is defective if it cannot charge to full capacity.
