Charged for a call with Unlimited Canada wide anytime? Also don't want to be charged to change my personal information after marriage!


Charged $52 for a call when my plan is Unlimited Canada wide anytime? Also don't want to be charged to change my personal information after marriage. Help!

I have a plan with unlimited Canada wide anytime minutes, and on my last bill I was charged $52 for a phone call I made to my brother in Alberta. I also need to change my information on my account since I got married but they are going to charge me $10 to even talk to a person? How do I fix these things? I tried messaging on facebook yesterday but I still haven't heard anything back. I would like to pay our phone bills but I don't really want to overpay :(

Did you recently change your plan or sign up with Koodo? Koodo only charges $10 for things you cant do yourself so in this case you wouldnt be charged.
I did change my plan recently yes! I was on the same plan except $20 a month more because I didn't know they had changed their plans. So I paid off my tab and switched over. 

Awesome thank you! I was thinking it was bull jive that I would be charged for something I couldn't do otherwise!

Hmm okay, if you were on an unlimited Canada-wide plan before and after i cant think of any issues. Charges like that are hard to figure out when not looking at the bill though. When you contact them about the name change id ask them about the charge as well and they can help you out.

Similar happened to me. I sent a polite quick letter. It was all fixed in no time. Saved $10.

Hi to All,

I don't know why many Koodo customers have little knowledge when potentially they could be charged calling Customer Service and when they aren't. I think they should be fearful waiting for an Agent to respond in timely manner then to be even charged.

The intro message saying you will be charged is a little misleading or indirect i will admit but from my experiences the Koodo rep will warn you of a charge before they go ahead and perform an account change for you. A family member was even told and instructed to visit the website by the rep so they could avoid the extra charge.
