Cancel the account


Hi there, l would like to cancel my account because of leaving Canada,so I started to call the customer service from 27th Dec until now every single day(at least 50 times)...but no one answered! !i also sent the email ,texted message on Facebook ,there is no answer either ! I don't know why....i leaved Canada yesterday,but still have to pay the service which I will never use ,so what should I do now?i am really looking forward the reply

You should try again with Facebook / Twitter. If there's nothing after a couple days you can port over to prepaid and let it go.

I think they already left Canada yesterday.

Sending a private message on facebook or twitter would be their simplest option now

Thanks for your reply,I'm a monthly customer ,I canceled Pre-authorized payments yesterday , my account can be canceled automatically?

No, if you are a monthly customer (postpaid), your service will continue until you tell them to stop.

There will also be a final bill with any remaining tab, and any pro-rated service between when you canceled and the billing cycle ends

I would try to call early in the morning (9.am)

The fastest way is to buy another prepaid sim (from fido/rogers/bell/virgin) and port the number over. It will automatically cancel the Koodo number. However, you will have to pay money for the SIM. I would suggest you visit a store and ask them how to do it the cheapest way.

Thanks Azure.but I am not in Canada anymore...so maybe I should keep trying to call them or text them on Facebook...

if you reach a Koodo agent, you could also claim that you called and/or sent message to their facebook on certain date (try to keep records of everything) but no response. Koodo might cancel your account on that date and save you some money.

good luck trying to reach an agent been trying for 2 days.stolen phone email issue.

Calling sucks.  You can report the phone stolen on self serve.  Why did you need to call in?

What are you trying to do that you need to call in?

Send Koodo a private message on Facebook.  This is the easiest way due to time zone differences since you are out of the country anyways

I never set up an email & it was for my brother.i just want to cancell account.last time i got a bill for 230$. No one called me til then.

If you want to cancel the account then unfortunately it must be called in.

If the account is in your brother's name, then unfortunately only he can call in to cancel it
