Can I keep my current plan?

Userlevel 3
I am currently on the Canada Wide Double Promo 56 Plan. I have the iPhone 4s on a 150.00 tab (currently at -45.95).I was thinking about getting the iPhone 5 on the new large tab for $200.00. Does anyone know if I can keep the plan I am on now? And also,do I pay off the remaining tab balance or is it added to the new tab for the iPhone 5? I'm only going to upgrade to the 5 if I can stay on the Canada Wide Double Promo 56 plan!!

You can't get the iphone 5 on large tab and stay on your current plan. You can keep your plan if you don't mind paying for the iphone 5 more up front. You gotta decide what's more important to you keeping more money in your pocket now or later.

No large tab needs a new plan. Medium Tab does not.

So if I went to the Koodo store tomorrow and decided to get the iPhone 5,I'd have to get it on the M Tab for $400,pay off remaining tab balance (49.95 i think) and the monthly service amount, which was paid only the other day (63.28).So,$513.00 roughly to get the new iPhone 5? Is this correct?Or would I be prorated for the 23 days I have left in my month?

In a way, as it will be the same amount but your actually paying the price of the device upfront that amount.

Instead of paying your remaining koodo tab you'd put the same moneys towards your phone instead of paying out your tab. (works out to the same thing). Now if you wish to get an iphone 5 using tab M you'd be paying $450 out of pocket the $250 on the tab out of the $300 since u have a 49.95 tab balance. You'd be paying roughly $450 out of pocket if (IF YOU WISH TO KEEP YOUR CURRENT PLAN)! Tab H you'd have $450 towards the phone and $250 out of pocket but you must choose from the tab H Price plans (which start at $65 for 500MB of data) plus $10,oo for tab charge

Refer the Rep to this thread, Gerry: http://community.koodomobile.com/koodo/topics/15_tab_contribution Obviously this is still all very new so it's no surprise people don't know exactly yet how and what.. but you definitely should be able to keep your current plan 🙂

Exactly what Sophia & Robert stated. You can't get the large Plan and keep your old plan but medium you are able to.

You won't be getting the 15% tab contribution. That requires a new plan.

You are incorrect Mario. You can get the 15% without changing plans. All it requires is to buy a new phone when you are ready.

Whoops. My mistake. I guess I misunderstood. This new tab system is really confusing for me 😞.
