Can I buy an iPhone 5S from an Apple Store and keep my current plan?

In response to Emily Ptak on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10152321646258102&id=14750623101 I have a question... I currently am on the old plan, without small/medium/large tab. I have a promotional plan that is 56$/month for Canada-wide unlimited calling, texting, 3GB of data and some other features. My question is this: if I buy the new iPhone 5S outright from an Apple store and bring it in, can I change over from my S3 to the iPhone AND maintain my current plan? The new ones are about 30$ more a month for the same features and I don't want to switch if it is avoidable.

Yes you can buy it from the Apple Store & keep your current Plan & switch from your S3. If you have any Tab owing from the S3 that will continue to be owed when you switch to the new phone.
Thank you very much John!!! I love this plan and don't want to change!

Note that you could also buy from Koodo and pay for the entire phone and still keep your Koodo plan too. However I would rather buy from Apple as it would come factory unlocked. Also if you do not have a tab balance currently, I just want to remind you that you would qualify for 10% off your plan every month

Sure. As long as it matched the frequencies Koodo uses and it's a Koodo phone or unlocked
yes as long as you do not use the large tab to buy the phone then you can just add your new phone onto your account (in place of the phone that you are currently using) If you go to the large tab there are certain plans that you would need to change to.

Don't forget you're going to have to get a koodo sim card for your apple iphone. They use specific sim cards and you'll have to update your sim # on your self serve. Mobile phone/Change phone and enter the SIm serial #.
