Buying a phone from Koodo is like an airline seat sale!

So I'm in the final stages today of buying the phone I want on the tab I can afford which was an iPhone se 64g on tab medium. I push the add to cart icon and promptly get kicked out for a technical difficulty, followed by a message to try back later and a smiley face. So I go back 10 mins later and the deal is gone and my cart empty!! This after my current phone crapped out after just 19months. Now the phone I wanted isn't available and the next closest one is out of my budget. The only time I've ever experienced this type of thing was while buying airline tickets. Not a satisfied customer today.

Hello Andrew, what do you mean that the deal is gone in 10 minutes. I'm sure that's not possible. Usually deals end at midnight on a certain day not at 8PM

thanks for straightening that out for me. Gives me renewed faith in Koodo and satisfaction with the community response. So what you're saying is it's not possible and therefore didn't happen. Cool.

I see they are sold out of the 64GB iPhone SE's online, (or they are no longer showing for some reason). Your best bet would be to go into a Koodo retailer and see if they have one there that you can buy.
The deal ended at 4pm eastern time while I was trying to check out. I live 2 hours from my closest Koodo store so online is my only option. I figured 4pm was a strange time for this deal to expire. I don't know why the message wasn't more along the lines of this model being sold out instead of a technical difficulty? Whatever the case, I'm still very unhappy with the situation.

What exactly is the deal? Try Best Buy, The Mobile Shop, Walmart, etc. 16GB and 64GB iPhone SE are discontinued by Apple, so Koodo is trying to get rid of their stock. The last one could have been sold before you checked out.

That's likely the case, but I don't have the luxury of running to walmart, Best Buy etc.. I live in a rural area 2 hours from the closest Koodo shop. Thanks for the suggestions, I didn't realize Apple had discontinued the SE. That makes sense and is probably what happened. Guess I'll have to wait for the next deal to come along as I can't afford the initial extra cost of a 6s or the high tab charge of the tab large.

They didn't discontinue iPhone SE completely; they replaced 16GB and 64GB versions with 32GB and 128GB versions. That is why 16GB and 64GB are/were heavily discounted.

To NJPB's point Andrew, do you find the 32gb too small (memory-wise) and the 128GB too expensive?

The 64g version was discounted and that's the one I had selected. The 32g is quite expensive in comparison and the 128g is way out of my reach. I'm a single income family and on a budget. I'm pretty well ready to move on. Two Android phones failed in the past 19 months and no warranty after a year. I don't want to sign a contract with a big carrier but financially might not have a choice.

If you are ok with a rose gold I think I might be able to help. No guarantees though. Thoughts?

Customer of 5 years. If i may suggest just jump on SE 16gb and buy yourself 50gb from apple cloud for $1.xx. Other choice is try to shop for refurbished iphone from koodo or apple; thats what i got from koodo and very happy

Just to note, Cloud storage is $x/month so you won't just pay $0.99 but $0.99/month.

We temporarily put back the phone for you Andrew. We have only a handful left. Hope you were able to grab one. :-)
