A dead iPhone because of water


My iPhone 4s got accidentally washed In washing machine for about 30 minutes. After that my phone was totally dead until now. I've tried to soak it inside rice but still can't be on till now. What should I do? Especially no more Koodo service in High Level. Thank you.

There's nothing you can do at this point. The phone is damaged beyond repair. You have to look into buying a new phone. You can call Koodo at 188669956636 and speak with a rep who can give you your options.

When I water damaged my iPhone 5S, the Apple Store replaced it for me for $270+tax. I did not have Apple Care +, but I was still within warranty. To my knowledge, this program still exists, but I can't comment on the price. Though even if you're within warranty, I can't imagine that this price is worth it for a 4S. My 5S was damaged 2 months after release so it was definitely worth it in my case.

The only issue with this is that High Level is about as far north as you can go in AB. So the nearest Apple store is likely 8 hours away. Im not sure if Apple will let you ship it to them and then be able to do what Ivan said, youd have to get ahold of them to find out. The other option is to see if anyone there has a used phone available. Past that, I know there I a Telus dealer (LRT Investments) in La Crete that should also sell Koodo phones. Maybe they can help you out there.

Hi Editha, Unfortunately there is not much you can do about it as pretty much any issue you will have with the phone will be relating to that water damage If by chance you purchased the Apple Care for iPhone, and you are still in the coverage period then contact apple for the repair. If you don't have the apple cate then your best luck will be a new phone. Hope this helps!
