I had experienced an attempt to port out my prepaid plan number with my previous mobile service provider. After recovering my account and number, my previous provider applied blocking to prevent fraudulent port out on my line. A day after joining Koodo, I asked customer service to block porting out of my line. I was told that such a block is already in place and that I will receive a message, followed by a verification process, in case of an attempt to port out my number. I suggest that Koodo implements a block for number porting out FOR ALL ITS USERS, with a verification process intended to make sure that the number porting is requested by the rightful owner of the Koodo account.
