bonus gifts

Hello, you are only offering bonus.gifts to new activations and new customers... Are they more important to you than your existing customers ???

Not really. It's just a bonus incentive when signing up, and it's only applicable on a few devices. The Galaxy S5, S4, Note II, and Moto G currently do not have any kind of bonus.gift. More than likely you got one on your first Koodo phone? Keep in mind that Koodo is allowing you to upgrade any time without credit check and allowing you to keep your plan on Tab S no matter what and on Tab M as long as it's above $30 PLUS you'll still get 24 month guarantee on top of that when you upgrade.

If they didn't offer the.gift card with an upgrade for existing customers they should implement a customer loyalty service that if you're paying a minimum of $50/month ( without tab charge) and keep your account in good standings for the first 3 months, you could get discounts on accessories in Koodo stores (and eventually other retailers for people who may not have access to a Koodo store nearby).

Having a minimum plan requirement for a loyalty program doesn't work very well... people are already complaining that new customers get a better deal with a.gift card; I foresee new complaints about "richer customers" getting a better deal too. Also Koodo can't (and shouldn't) control what retailers sell accessories for since it's not their inventory. Phones obviously, because we sell them on their behalf with a license agreement, etc... attachments are completely third party.

Its really not a bad idea because in the United States (I know completely different country and regulations) on Sprint they used to have a customer loyalty program that allowed customers to get 25% off accessories in Sprint stores, and allowed them to upgrade every year without any issues, but they had to pay $70/month. I think $45-50/month ($50 being previously mentioned) isn't much to ask for people to be given something similar.

I think loyalty programs would be cool too. But koodo is all about equality for all their customers so I'm not too sure they would offer this. Nevertheless, never hurts to ask 😉

Positive tab is their loyalty program. Plus, most of us got the "bonus.gift" when we first signed up with them.

All I have to say to this is that most of us got a bonus.gift when we first signed up. If you didn't, it was *YOUR* choice to sign up at a time when they didn't offer a promo, which is quite rare.

We treat everyone fairly, so we wouldn't create a loyalty program for any specific type of customers.  The bonus.gift offer is an extra incentive for anyone to join Koodo 🙂
