Bonus gift - Needs some work guys!

My idea, to clear up much of the issues resolving getting the.gift card and then spending some of it and then needing to do a return but not having the full value on the.gift card, is to only send the.gift card to the customer when the phone has been active on the account past the return period. Shouldn't be to hard to do this. Just use a code for the.gift and then only apply that code to the account for the eligible device that way if they do a return of the eligible device and switch to a non eligible device then they just remove the code from the system at the time of the return.

That's a good idea, but I guess it would only work if all cell phone companies did the same. If the others offered the.giftcard right away and koodo didn't I think some people (for all the wrong reasons) would go where they can get the card at the time of purchase which I have to believe koodo wouldn't want.

Also the bonus.gift isn't always.gift cards. We got $75 prepaid credit card and $25 towards merchandise from the Koodo kiosk where we got our phone (used it for a phone case). This would be messy to implement a delay bonus.gift, but I like your idea in principle.

See they already do the delayed.gift with online orders so I don't think it would be that much more difficult to do the same with store orders.
