When Koodo will develop Block Numbers feature?

Userlevel 1
Koodo needs to developed a feature to block unwanted numbers and texts. Even-though there are app blockers or build in cell phones, the unwanted no,bees like spam will continue calling and leaving voicemails and these blockers won't stop them. It becomes annoying and frustrating. Koodo needs to step up and just do it. Please like it if you agree with me so they can start the proper st ps. Chappy

I think the problem is creating and maintaining a database of all those numbers when it's so much less expensive to just have each user block unwanted calls and texts on their own device as needed.

Isn't this what the 'Do Not Call' list is supposed to accomplish?

I'm assuming your idea is that the carrier maintain a user-specific list of blocked numbers for each customer. Otherwise, a broad list would create more problems than it solves, as any number can be spoofed. If for instance, your phone number was spoofed and then added to a wide-ranging list, you would be blocked from calling anyone. Probably not what you want.

Completing a database lookup on every call made and text sent would likely slow the system noticeably, something many of us would not appreciate.

Certainly buddy, it is a mother misleading action, I've received calls from India regarding my duct cleaning, I told the DnCL but nothing was done, I'm among thousands of Canadians with no solution, thanks, have a good day

Good point dfbutt, but I'm in the DO not Call List and I'm still receiving calls, my idea was a source of anti spam, that works similar to emails. Traffic won't be affected because the carrier will reject/purge them as email spam works. But this X-ray has to be done at the service provider, however, I thank you very much

However, spam filters work on an algorithm assessing the content of the email, not simply the sender, as would be the case with a call, as it has no content to assess.

dfbutt in the states and Mexico, have this type of "algorithms" as you call them, like voyage.com. You can block them, from your phone and it will upload to their servers or voice/data transfers . It is not Koodo, I believe is the CRTC, I'm not sure but someone must start this ordeal because is extremely annoying
