smart phone deals

I was thinking of an idea in regards to in general smart phones. What about a deal for new and/or current koodo customers. For those who want an Android, iPhone or Blackberry but don't have the money for a tab large plan. You could get any of the listed above devices on a tab medium. But, without the cost of a iPhone 5, 5S or 5C for example. I believe that, there could be a lot more koodo customers if they can obtain a newly released smart phone for less of a price than a tab large or nothing up front like how I got my phone from koodo. More deals for a better price in my opinion would attract more customers.

I'm not sure I understand your idea

The iPhone 5S is a $725 phone. To allow customers to get it for no charge on Tab M, Koodo would need to take a loss of $425 per phone sold. It would take a very long time to recoup that loss through the profits on your plan. It simply does not make economic sense.

Yes, there'd be a loss. But if people notice that there's that kind a deal, more people will come and the 5S and 5C were only used for sake of example

So what you're saying is, loose roughly $400 per person just to get more people? If those people take plans worth $50 (some would take less) Koodo wouldn't even break even for 8 months and thats assuming none of the plan costs go to anything else (like paying for towers/wages/etc.) Doesn't make good business sense.

I think if you lower the price of just about anything companies will get more customers. They will make less money too. Which means they have to find ways to cut costs. The first place they will likely start is having less employees. 🙂
