Premium Handset Protection (PHP)

I know there is a extended v warranty option, however what if the device got lost or stolen, liquid or physical damage or even malfunction - we would need to buy a new device. Could you have a PHP Bundle offering for $9.00-$12.00 per month fee which would include insurance from a company such as Assurant, along with extended warranty and mobile security app . Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Brittany,

The current warranty that Koodo offers does protect the device against physical damage, liquid damage or malfunction. The only thing that it doesn't cover is loss or theft, probably because of the amount of fraud there would be associated to it. 

The current warranty costs 7$ monthly or 129$ upfront. It covers the phone for 2 years. In the event of malfunction without physical/water damage a 29$ deductible applies towards the repair. If it is water/liquid damage, then it's a 79$ deductible. You can read more about it here.

At that point you'd be better off upgrading the phone, as it will likely be outdated or not receiving any more updates. Especially if it was already out for a while when you bought it.
