One of the posts that I was looking at suggested that the koodo points be used to receive a discount on your bill. This was actually asked by Naveed Kanji (9 mths ago), but I do not know if it was proposed as an idea. It may mean that more people use self serve and the koodo community.

I know this idea was suggested but it could be too easy to cheat the system with points. This is why there are mobile masters. To reward people that contribute the most to the community. They get wonderful perks that could be considered as discounts

This idea did come up during the last Idea contest. What ended up happening is many of the top ideas, including community contributions discount, was implemented at Public Mobile when Telus re-launched it

What's the points for how do you get points

What's the points for how do you get points

You get points for a variety of things like posting, replying, liking, have your stuff get liked, or things getting marked as best answer.

If you consistently stay at the top of the leaderboard with quality reaponses there's a chance you can join the Mobile Master program but other than that they're just for fun.

Points can be like fleas on a dog. Fortunately, there haven’t been many trolls recently,  but the more you post, regardless of content, the more points you rack up. Just hitting the “Like” button on a post gives you a few even if you contribute nothing. Hope the Facebook crowd doesn’t get mislead by that….
