Did you choose the BlackBerry specific version of your plan? BlackBerry prior to BlackBerry 10 devices require special provisions so they can access the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS). These provisions are only active of your plan allows it. Check selfserve for the name of your plan. I'd it doesn't say (BB) at the end of it, you won't be able to send or receive mms (picture messages) . If not just change your plan to the BlackBerry version right there in self serve. If you do have a BlackBerry version of your plan, you may just need to update your service books. From your Blackberry, go to Options, select Advanced Options, select Host Routing Table, press the Menu button, select Register Now. You will shortly receive a confirmation message on your device.

Log into self serve, choose the "plan" tab. Click change plan. There's a list of devices, click it until you see the older style BlackBerry plans.

Another possible need after you do what Chad suggested if things still don't work make sure you put in the Koodo APN settings. http://koodomobile.com/en/ab/non-koodo-phone-data-setup.shtml

I don't believe Blackberries have the ability to customize the APN. On older Blackberries, registering the Host Routing Table programs the APN into the phone.
