Number of rings before voice mail, curiousity.

BB Curve 9300 how to change number of rings before voice mail answers? Online searches keep telling me to contact my service providers voice mail system and follow the prompts. Is this another voice mail system then the one on my phone? I have changed it from 3 to 5 once before, a year or 2 ago, but don't remember how. I would just like to put it back to 3 (or to change the seconds, whichever)

*61*(Voice Mail Access Number)**(timervalue)#+SEND Where (timervalue) is the time before forwarding to voicemail, from 5-30 seconds in 5 second increments.
Please excuse, not sure....so I actually press star 61 then star then the ten digit access number then star star again then 5(meaning the seconds i want it ring for) then type the word send? then call that whole thing or send a message somewhere....SO SORRY FOR THE IGNORANCE 🙂

This refers to the phone dialer. You'd type it in as though you were placing a call. I'm not sure if this still works, since Koodo updated to a different VM service recently.

In other words, SEND means press the send button. Assuming, as Ivan said, that this still works.

Ok thanks, I think you're right-it just keeps saying "your call cannot be completed". Just for further clarification if you don't mind- am I typing the word send or the numerical equivalent of the word send or physically sending....on my phone there is a phone icon or sms icon for sending stuff.
