New Unlimited data plan. Up to 3GB After you pass the threshold, you still have unlimited access to data, but the speed of data is reduced!!

This is very similar with the way prepaid works with T-mobile USA although your proposed throttle speed is less than Edge which creates a huge issue with usability. The lowest I would go would be Edge. Edge allows for 384kbps and is slow but still allows the user to function somewhat. I do use 2g speeds in the usa by choice and find it to be workable. If I may propose a different spin: EVERY Plan has unlimited data with the first X bucket at full speed. This is identical to T-Mobile. A great way for koodo to lead again. No More data overages on any plan!

Edge is really slow, but it can be an start point to reduce them at a minimum enough speed that Koodo technicians can calculate which can keep network congestion and happy customers. You got a really good point.

128kbps is equivalent to GSM speeds

I agree with you Chad

Why dont you just have unlimited data and high speed internet like T-mobile. Plus if Koodo does that it will be hard

They can't offer unlimited data. Doing that creates congestion on the network, makes people think about cancelling home internet plans, and costs way to much to implement and support it. Canada is one of the leaders in the world for having the most advanced, reliable and fastest wireless networks in the world, but thats because they have to limit it so it can support everyone.

Don't see it happening as koodo seems to be extremely against unlimited data in any way but I like it but with a higher minimum speed like Chad suggested and also that it applies to EVER plan, that would be amazing.

You never know Paul maybe they will have unlimited data in the future. And if new providers come to Canada that means competition and then they have to do something to attract the consumers back

Maybe somewhere between Edge and 3G. The problem is you don't want to make it fast enough to stream media, just fast enough for basic access.

In fact, what's coming is a unlimited, sponsored data plan. The benefits of having people using online services is consolidating a massive emerging new, more immersive, use of the global net and there lie a much more modern way of thinking a business and possess more potential to be the major consuming platform. It's so funny, when I was a kid, it was frakin' science fiction!!!

Right now for $55 you can get unlimited talk/text, and 5 gig's of data. Your idea is $70, for less data? Also keep in mind that in many places, koodo is using another network, which means they cant control the speed.

It's only available in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Darko. I agree it's an awesome plan! But alas... most of us are in the wrong province 😞

Isn't limiting this plan to MB /SK a bit discriminatory? Just sayin. 😞

Dylan, on the bottom left of your screen, change your region to MB or SK and the plan will appear.
