how do i enable data on my blackberry?!

I have a TELUS blackberry 9900 and I just got a sim that would work in it... the problem Is I don't get data is there any settings or numbers I can change to get it... seems foolish to pay for data if I'm not able to use it. Thanks

Did you get a bb specific version of the plan you want? Also did you unlock your bb?

I've got a feeling this is the issue. What phone were you using before the BB?

I changed my data plan to a bb plan seeing if it works

Can you call and text? Besides what Chad mentioned (although since you say your SIM card worked I think it's unlocked already), you'll also need to do this for data to work: 1. Settings > Advanced Device settings > TCP/IP settings. Change it to bb.koodo.com 2. Go to Settings > Advanced Device settings > Host routing table. Hit the BB button and select register now. 3. Enable data. Keep us updated.
I had a nexus 4 before and yes everything works except internet(data). I got the phone off a friend because I just got the nexus and didn't want to have to pay for a new phone when I broke it...im going to try the setting thing and ill keep you posted thanks!

Okay, but make sure you do what Chad said. You'll have to get a BB version of a plan first or else everything else won't work anyway. You can make the change on Self Serve. When it asks you what type of phone you're using, select Blackberry Curve or Bold.

Log into self serve and click the plans and add one tab Then click change my plan On the following screen change the selection to curve and bold as suggested Here is a screen shot:
