Does Previous Blackberry Add-on Affect New Android Phone?

If I originally had a Blackberry Bold and then changed over to the Nexus 5, does it make sense to still have the "BlackBerry Connect Plus (2GB)" plan on my account (i.e., does the 2GB affect my Android phone's data usage)?

No affect. You will be fine

Thanks for confirming! Glad to know I can remove it without it impacting the phone (save some money too). 🙂

Whoa. Wait. Don't remove it, as you won't get that data plan for that price again

Basically, you can keep your 25 for 2GB plan as is and use it with your Nexus 5. As Chad said, having this particular plan keeps your options open as you can revert to your bold if needed

Ah ok, scratch that idea.

Here's why. You still get 2gb which isn't really available at that price anymore If you ever need / want to go back to your BlackBerry, having that provision on your sim means access to BIS is still provisioned on your account. Without it your old BlackBerry won't function correctly without you having to change your plan. It has no impact on the way your Android uses data so keep it. These 2cents brought to you by the letters "o" and "k"

If you remove this add on, you will have no data

The only way to get data back again is to switch to a in market plan that includes data. Likely more expensive that what you have now

And this is why I check with others before I make a regrettable decision, ha-ha. Thanks to you both, Ry and Chad.

Thanks Ry, you're a bunch quicker than me today! 🙂 I second Ry's opinion Danny
