Blackberry Z10 Bluetooth issue

Userlevel 5
Hey guys just wondering if anyone else is having a problem with the Z10 and bluetooth? Mine worked fine for the first 48 hours or so but now I don't get any audio coming out of my speakers (this is Sync system in a Ford vehicle). The music seems to be playing on my device and calls connect, I just can't hear anything. Adjusting the volume in the vehicle does nothing and trying on the phone shows a speaker with a lock symbol. I did a quick google search and found a few people with similar problems and no solutions. Just wondering if anyone on the community has come across the issue and has a fix? It's possible it is the setup in my car, and because of that I'm going to go back to my iPhone tomorrow to see if it works, but I have a feeling (based off the fact I saw others with a similar issue online) it's something with the phone and not my car.

Issue: Customers are unable to change the device volume once connected to Bluetooth. Solution: Volume must be adjusted prior to establishing Bluetooth connection. To adjust volume, disconnect from Bluetooth, change volume and reconnect. If this is the issue, it's a known bug in the Z10 at the moment.

I'll give that a shot, but the volume is maxed out when it's not connected to Bluetooth so I don't think it's causing the no audio issue. I'll make sure it's not on silent or anything and give it another test just to be safe. Thanks for the heads up, seemed weird that volume was locked so that at least answers a question 🙂

It seems that might have been my issue Timo! I tried to play a video on it and noticed my volume was turned all the way down (but was still getting audio for text notifications which is odd), went out and tried it in the car and music played a call went through. I think this solves it... for now... Reason I say for now is when it stopped I was driving, and it just stopped working as the songs changed so I heard the end of one and the next never started. I'll keep my eyes on it and see if it does something like that again but for now I assume it was some weird volume turned down situation.
