Blackberry 10.3 OS - will Koodo release it despite not carrying BB phones any longer?

Userlevel 2
The official release of BB10 10.3 is slated/rumoured to happen February 19 onwards. I don't believe I've received a single update to 10.2 since bringing my Q10 over to Koodo in July 2014 which begs the questions - will Koodo make this update available to those customers who use Blackberry phones?

I've been told yes. But no promise on date.

Thanks Chad, does your radar indicate any BB's being reinstated to Koodo?

Not unless they change their name to Samsung

The update started Rolling out yesterday but it's carrier dependant so it's still a waiting game for Koodo. Your guess is as good as mine.
Hey Chad, any idea on the date?

No, he doesn't. Nobody does. The update was only officially released yesterday so there was actually no point in David asking 5 days ago because it wasn't even out by BlackBerry. And as the usual trend is that carriers are slower at pushing it out, you'll probably see it (hopefully) within the next week. However, there is no set date and you won't be told one.

There's some quite neat additions in 10.3, complete overhaul of the layouts as well and this Blend software is excellent!

Z10 and Q10 will be first, Q5 you'll have to wait. No release date for that.

I have a Q5. So it's the carrier (Koodo) that provides the update?
Is there an ETA for the Q5 bb10.3.1 update?
Of course no comments from Koodo. Worst customer care I have ever experienced. If you bought your phone through shop blackberry then turn off Koodo network and check for update via Wifi. I am still waiting for update from Koodo because I was stupid enough to get the phone from Koodo. Why the hell would you be selling phones and not provide updates for them? What a joke company.

I got my update, just wont update for some reason
I'm still waiting as well with my Q5 from Koodo. Rather impatiently. It's been issue after issue...
My phone was purchased through koodo but I have had it unlocked. I borrowed my friends Rogers sim card and It updated without a hassle. It does take a few hours to download and update. I also recommend doing the update via blackberry link since the download requires you me to have 3Gb of free space on my phone.
All who are waiting on Koodo to push the update, don't wait any longer. Search for a program called Sachesi on crackberry and follow the steps. Very simple to use and I was able to update my Q5 using Rogers update. Download and install take some time, about 2 to 3 hours so be patient. I love BB Blend, best thing ever for people working on computers. After the install i had 2 or 3 Rogers icons which i deleted. Very nice update from BlackBerry.
My factory unlocked Z10 updated itself a few days after BB10.3 was released. No issues, and a nice improvement. I think this happened totally independent of Koodo.
I got tired waiting for Koodo tp push the update so I installed the OS leak from CracBerry website. Did a security wipe and followed the 'autoloader for OS' instructions. The instruction is easy to follow and my Q5 now works perfectly with the new OS 10.3.1.1581
