BB travel not available for koodo Q5?


Blackberry travel has ceased to function on my Q5. Login just spins and spins. Went to the web based site and it says that the app is not available for the selected device. Seriously?? Can anyone help?

Hi Cupid,

If you are having trouble loging into BB services, you should contact them directly.

Sorry my previous answer was me thinking about a different thread about BB. I am not 100% sure about what the app is or what it does. Perhaps someone else does.

Oh ok, in that case my question stands. Is anyone successfully running BB travel on a Q5? It worked great on my Torch, not so great on the Q5, so I uninstalled and reinstalled, and now it doesn't work at all. The web interface says it's not available for my device, based on model and provider.... Can anyone help?

Do you have the exact model number of your device?

10.3.1.1865, which is the latest for my unit, according to the "check for software updates" feature. 🙂

Alright, so according to BB's website your phone should work with your phone. Again, I would contact BB directly about issues with the app. There are no carrier restrictions on this app so just contact BB about your issue and they should be able to help.

Yeah, I saw that too, on their site. Also saw that this issue was very widespread back in January, but is now supposedly resolved. Still, when I login to the app on my computer, it tells me not supported. Most odd. Will try to figure it out tomorrow. Thanks.

Hi Fred, yes I did and it seems the problem was very widespread some months ago. It's new to me because I haven't traveled in a while. I uninstalled (again), reinstalled, and shut the phone down overnight, and now it's working. Well, it opens and my trips are there. Let's see how the updates go, from here. Thanks for your help!

You may also need to refresh the BB app store. It's under settings once you're in the store.

Thanks Chad. I did. Left the phone off overnight and this morning I am able to log in. Thanks for all your help.
Problem solved, thanks everyone!! Just another little hiccup in the blackberry road of life... 🙂
