I know that this would require Telus participation and Telus may not want to do this, but I'm going to put this out there in case there is any interest. As long as I've participated here, there have always been requests for phones (or colour/memory options) and most of the requests went unanswered. A frequent suggestion that pops out when such requests are made is for the customer to purchase a device outright elsewhere and bring it to Koodo. This is frequently a much more expensive option and depending on where you live, you may be forced to deal with online retailers. You can't buy a device outright from other carriers without at least paying for one month of service and you can't even get it unlocked from them without having service with them for 90 days, so you're forced to shop for 3rd party alternatives (which may not exist yet if it's a new device). What I propose is simple: that for KOODO CUSTOMERS ONLY, Telus allows outright purchase of any device and also provides the unlocking code at no additional cost (except for iPhones, as they do not need to be unlocked to work on Koodo).
