How do I dispute a Roaming Charge while on airplane within Canada?


I was on a flight from Toronto to Thunder Bay on March 7, 2023.

Somehow, Easy Roam was triggered and I was charged. Since I was travelling within Canada I never thought I need to disable Easy Roam.

I would like the charge reversed.

All jokes aside, did you receive your invoice yet or just a heads up so far?

Have not received the bill yet. Just got the notification and email.

We have checked and but we still do not have the usage details visible on our end.

Do you see any usage in self serve, more specifically for mobile data roaming, on the date the Easy Roam was triggered?

When is your billing date? It might be not visible as the bill hasn't generated yet. Also, I assumed what you saw was in the usage area? And not the pdf bill?

The information is from the March 28th bill and yes, it is a PDF version that I obtained from self serve.

We have been able to check the usage and we adjusted the last bill, since it was about accidental data roaming usage that triggered the charged.

 

We recommend turning roaming data off in the phone settings when near the border.

But the technology must exist to add a little bit of time buffer with a warning before these charges are instantly charged.
