Hi, You're a good friend to help someone through a crunch. You have to admit, though, that what you are doing is atypical -- not unheard of, but still not typical. It is not usual for people to go around paying other people's bills. Nonetheless, if you want to pay cash, you can pay: - At any financial institution - At any Western Union See http://help.koodomobile.com/my-bill/billing-and-payment-options/how-can-i-pay-my-bill

Just a thought, Tellulah, you could give your friend the cash and then they can pay their bill the usual way 🙂 Might be easier all around 🙂 You must be a good friend indeed!

You can pay his bill online. sk him to log into his account and make one time credit card payment. Simple as that.

The cc billing address needs to match the account holders billing address.

Actually, that's not true. I paid someone else bill with my credit card. Several times. I think koodo just tell you that but it's not enforced. And why would they?

It's an automated address verification system. There is no option on the part of koodo representatives whether to enforce it or not. And since nobody has mentioned it yet, payments can also be made at a bank branch, or through online banking as long as you know th 8 digit koodo account number.

Well, we can post back and forth, but just like Chris I made multiple payment for some of my relatives on their accounts without any problem, so I know it works. 🙂 That automatic verification system is not doing anything.

Unless its' a bank in Alberta, then it's 9 digits 😛.

Well I just tried to pay my bill using my wife's credit card...same last name...same billing address and it was not allowed. Received a text from Koodo stating it was in process. I then called the next day and two different customer service reps could not give me an answer and suggested I pay at my bank. Wtf!? I am not happy at all and am in the process of looking for another provider. Who doesn't accept a credit card!? Especially when I am paying them and have been with Koodo for almost three years!

The name and billing address need to match what's on your account in order to work. I'm thinking your problem is that the full name on the card doesn't match what's on file.

Chad I appreciate the quick comment. I understand the need for security but when the last name is the same as well as the billing address surely common sense would prevail.

The system responsible for rejecting the payment based on an address mismatch is and automated program running on a computer. expecting it to display "common sense" is kind of a stretch. An extra comma or additional whitespace in the address is enough to cause automatic verification to fail. It can be overridden, but that requires submitting the credit card information to Koodo's security team so it can be registered on the account.

Not to flog a dead horse but I did submit the card through to the Koodo team. I then received verification a day later that it was received. When I called today I spoke to two different CSRs. Both states there could inky be one credit card assigned.

You could also take a printed version of their bill and go pay cash at any bank.
