Why am I being charged HST-ON on my Québec bill?

I just noticed that I'm paying HST on my bill (plus TPS + TVQ) and I was wondering why that is? Is it because the phone has been used in Ontario? Does this apply to all visited provinces? My phone has a Québec area code and Québec mailing/billing address. Thank you 🙂

There's a rule of "two out of three" when it comes to charging taxes on calls. Basically, there are three factors for taxes: 1. your province of origin. 2. your current location. 3. the province of origin of the called party. So if you're in Ontario calling an Ontarian number, two out of three you pay Ontario taxes.
Ah ok, sort of makes sense 😉 Thank you 🙂
