upgraded my phone.first minute data charges


Just upgraded my phone.The first minute i turned the phone i was charged over 15.00 in data.I didn't even have a chance to turn off the data setting.I think this is quite unfair.

Then contact Koodo directly, and explain the situation. They may credit you with the difference.

All phones come out of the box with Data turned on.  When I'm firing a phone up for the 1st time (and I suggest this to friends as well), I quickly go through the set up, saying no to the Add Passcode/Add Fingerprint/Add Google etc settings so I can quickly turn the data off.  Then I usually end up seeing maybe 50-100 MB in data usage, which if I'm usually not billed for.  If I am billed for it, the carrier (Koodo for me, others for friends) will usually credit it back.  I'll then use my WiFi to do the Google set up etc...
