Update your ebilling Credit Card validation

Many people have the new credit cards with new number ranges, now I can't do automatic pre-authorized credit card payments as my number is "invalid" but it can do a payment. I had this same problem with other services at Telus, perhaps it's the credit card merchant account set-up, but if it was fixed all of us could do pre-authorized payments

Do you by any chance have one of those new Debit Visa cards? Koodo doesn't support them yet.

All canadian Bank cards have standrised numbers that can fit in Selfserve, call *611 and find out why the number won't fit, they'll send feedback to Koodo to look at this issue.
Sorry Chad, Standard Credit Card However the number 4 digit starting sequences for TD bank, and CTAL have changed since TD bought MBNA and CTAL did something. (all I know)

Thank you Mat, but I have spoken to Koodo about this in October, November, and December. The latter I also spoke to Telus about the same issue and I have shown the card (and used it) at a Kiosk.
All legal credit cards are 16 digits(or 15 if it's american express). I'm not sure what you are getting at here.

Doctor, look at your visa, does it start with 45? Not all do, the starting number sequences have changed for some credit cards where I have been told by some vendors that I don't have a valid Canadian Credit card. I have confirmed it is valid from a Canadian Bank but the start sequence numbers have not be updated by all yet.

Mine starts with a 45 but mine is also a visa debit. You can call Koodo and request them to register the card to your account. That way the system will recognize it and should allow it to be set up for preauthorized payments. I've never heard of a credit card not allowing to be used for preauthorized payments and do payments.

Yes yours starts with a 45, so it's from the Old data set. I have already tried this over the phone and in person at a kiosk over the phone. Telus has the same issue...as does my newspaper subscription. Shaw is ok tho

Hey Geoff, I'm going to look into this with the team. I'm going to update you as soon as possible.
Thanks, but I suspect it's at the Credit Card handling level as Telus has the same issue for me.

Hey Geoff, Just wanted to know we're still looking into this. I haven't forgotten about you 🙂
Actually I try every couple of months on my new extra points card, this time it worked for Koodo and Telus.
