My plan has unlimited airtime but I was charged $57.80 extra on my last bill for it.

Login to your self serve and download your detailed pdf ebill. What does the details say about the charges and those specific calls that incurred the charge?
My self serve shows all the minutes of airtime and $0 cost against each: yet I am still charged $57.80 for it on my last bill.
I have tried contacting Koodo, but no response.
Did you change your plan recently?
I would suggest you check the reasons for the charge in the page 3 (or 4) of your pdf bill. If possible can you posted a snapshot of it here (along with the reasons in page 3/4). Hide/delete all personal information before posting please.
Is it possible your last payment was received late, and shows as past due this month?
I was finally able to talk to a human, altho with the usual language difficulties. He said it was due to a late payment, altho payments are made automatically. We did make credit card changes, so he may be right. I will be watching the next bill! Thanks for help offered.
