He Debbie If you're in the Expanded Local Calling Area (ELCA): Sarnia that includes Detroit, Ann Arbor, Monroe, Port Huron, Port Sanilac, Flint, and Pontiac. you won't get billed You can always add the 30/3 days Talk/Text Usa roaming addons to.

Matt, can you please elaborate on the Expanded Local Calling Areas? I have a friend who lives in Windsor, ON. She goes to Detroit often and currently has a Canadian plan that includes voice and text roaming in all of Michigan. She would like to switch to Koodo, but is afraid of the high roaming charges. Does the Expanded Local Calling Area only mean that she could call from Windsor to Detroit at Canadian rates? Or could she actually go to Detroit and use her phone their at Canadian rates?

That's exactly what he means. She can go to Detriot without getting the roaming charges.

When you receive notification from USA towers that you're using their service swarch for Koodo network manually, for Andoid phones go to settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks/network operators - search neworks, select Koodo and i'll put put back on Koodo service
Does Koodo still offer the Windsor Expanded Local Calling Area (ELCA) which would include Detroit area codes (248, 313, 586)?
