Tab Help?!

So I'm getting the galaxy s4 on tuesday, and I'm wondering about the new tab medium, with the 5 dollar charge. Does the charge go toward paying off the tab on top of the 15% that comes off of my bill? I have the 30$ double minutes/data plan, so I'd be paying the 4.5$ (15%) + the 5 dollar charge? So 9.5$ per month off my tab?

I think that's right. Provided you switch to one of the new plans...

I'm pretty sure that in order to take advantage of the new tab system you must be on one of the new plans. You're more then welcome to stay on your old plan of course, but then your tab will be capped at +/- $150 and it's contribution will remain at 10%, as it is now.

Yes! that's how Medium Tab works 15% that comes off your bill plus $5 charge, that's 9.5$ you're paying to pay off your Medium Tab.

Also, does the tab get wiped after 24 months? I've heard that but no conformation. But I do have to get a new plan to use the tab medium? That's an unfortunate move on Koodos part. I can see a lot of people leaving.

It will be wiped, yes. And from the looks of it all the other companies are raising prices so no matter where people go. If you are willing to pay more you don't have to take the medium tab. It's up to you. But you cant have your cake and eat it too. 🙂 Not pay much for the phone and get a plan for nothing. 🙂

Hi Connor, the 15% is our contribution, you don't need to pay it. Just as before with the 10%, Koodo Mobile calculates 15% of your monthly invoice (before taxes) and applies that amount towards your Tab for you. On top of that, you have a $5 monthly charge on your bill that will go directly to the Tab, which will help to pay it off faster. You can keep your current plan, provided that the plan's price is at least $30.
