PRICE PROTECTION


I ordered the Moto G from the website 2 days ago for $200 minus the $150 small tab so $50 out of my pocket. I noticed today that the Moto G is on sale for $150 dollars. I called customer service to see if they would refund my cost, but she wouldn't. She said she would rather me return my phone I just bought and order a new one. This is atrocious customer service, basically every competent company offers price protection these days. Why doesn't Koodo?

Well that is pretty stupid, i'd speak to a manger on that one. why waste the shipping cost

They wouldn't refund the cost for the fact that customer service isn't the one that billed you when you ordered online so they would have no access to the receipt. AND it is not something that they have the authority to do. Since it was a VERY recent purchase, you can always follow the advice of what the rep told you. It is quite possible that Boolanger's advice to speak to a supervisor may work. No guarantees though. To be honest, if all it takes was a $50 credit on the account, I see no reason why not to give that credit.

Hi there Scott... There is always a solution to everything... No worries... When you get your phone, call, expose your case and I am pretty sure you will get good options to solve it!
Thanks for the replies. I think I'll call back and try again. Possibly speak to a supervisor if possible. I'd like to get it figured out right away just in case the price goes back up.

It's only two days so a $50 credit on the account should be acceptable. Kinda acts like a reimbursment.
Thanks again for all the help. So I called back and they said they didn't have authorization, so they gave me a phone number to the Webstore. I called and the guy there got it figured out for me, after many trips back and forth to his manager. He is going to reimburse me the cost.

Yeah I bought it online a few days ago, Its in the mail somewhere right now.

Hey Scott. A lot of times customers stumble upon great ideas. Why not post this as an idea for Koodo to offer price protection. You never know, you could be the voice of change.
