No Tab fee on Bill


As a new customer, I signed up online for a new phone and plan that included a $15 tab fee to pay for the phone. When I received my first bill, there was no mention of the tab fee.  Is this normal or is it yet another error by Koodo (I had a lot of problems activating the phone)? Thank you.

Hmmm....from what I see Lynn, you bought the phone at a Koodo store on St. Lauren Blvd. in Ottawa. You currently have 25 positive tab that you earned for referring someone. There is no TAB charge which make me think you bought the phone outright at the store. 
I did not buy the phone or plan at the store.  I had to go to the store because I was unable to activate my new phone online or over the phone.  It took them a while (and a call to their support) but they eventually managed to activate the phone.  I have not been charged for the phone, but I certainly won't object if Koodo wants to give it to me for free!

Ok....what was the problem you were having online Lynn. Would love to know as we have hundreds of people buying it without any issues. 

While I do believe in the Christmas spirit I can't say there are many things nowadays that are free. 🙂 We'll look into to see if your credit card was charged at all. Thanks for your patience!

After waiting 10+ days for the phone to arrive, I tried activating online but the website needed a phone number to register but I did not have a phone number because I could not sign in.  I tried calling and ended up somehow with a Telus rep who then bounced me to Koodo, but he told me he could not activate the phone.  I then went to the store (which I was trying to avoid in the first place).  They tried to tell me I should have called support, but that's what I tried and was told to visit the store.  They said there should have been some sort of letter telling me how to activate, but there was not so they did their thing and somehow the Koodo tab was lost in the process.

The letter, with easy instructions came in the box with your phone. Or at least it should have. Was in not there?

No, the only thing in the box was a packing slip and the bonus.gift.

Hmmm...ok, that's a problem. We'll reach out to our warehouse folks. You should have received an email thought too, that your phone was shipped.

The email arrived 2 days after I received the phone.
