New customer billing

I recently signed up for Koodo and set up for pre-auth payment the same time. I have now received my first invoice. Do I have to pay it manually or is it going to be handled by pre-auth payment?

I'm asking because I got a very confusing email from Koodo that seems to suggest I have to pay the first invoice myself. However, the email seems to be intended for old customers signing up for pre-auth. It does not explain if it applies to new customer with pre-auth set up during signing of the contract.

Typically preauthorized payments take one full billing cycle to take effect. Your first bill would need to be paid manually, after that payment would be automatic.
