My bill - Is this really post paid?

I received my first bill today. I got my number activated May 28 and the billing cycle ends on the 7th. The bill now includes the prorated amount for May 28 -June 07 and the full charge for June 07- July 07. What I don't understand is that if my account is actually post-paid, shouldn't I be receiving this bill after 07 July? The current bills wants me to pay for the cycle which has started but not ended yet. So I am confused as I was expecting to get this bill after July 07 when all my usage has been recorded. Any ideas?

Your account was activated under Postpaid service with bill at end of every billing cycle, First bill is always sent 7 days after phone activation with 1 month in advance plus prorated days when it applies. You will receive 1 bill the next month with only 1 month bill.

With post paid plans you pay for the plans and add-ons a month in advance and then any overage the next bill. It's kind of like buying feul for a car then if you use it all up paying a bill for using a taxi to get around.

Feel for the OP a bit, as the 'post paid' terminology is somewhat misleading. You'd kinda expect that with an account that has that title that you'd actually have to pay for your service after you've used it, but you get billed right at the beginning on the monthly cycle instead. It's really a 'pre-paid' system, for the base plan anyways, but I guess since 'pre-paid' has come to really mean 'pay-as-you-go' here, they had to think of something else.

Thanks I guess that is why I am mixing up these two. It makes sense now.
Thank you. So basically each bill is the monthly plan fee for the cycle that has recently started plus overage from the previous cycle, right?

FYI, it's not June 7 - July 7, it's June 7 - July 6.

Actually OP mentioned "the billing cycle ends on the 7th", which means his billing cycle is June 8 - July 7 🙂
