My new employer is requesting a release letter from Koodo Mobile stating that my balance has been paid off. When I cancelled Koodo they did not send me my final bill which led them to take my balance to a collection agency. As soon as that happened I right away paid it off. Now a year or so later, this is showing up during my background check for a new job and they require a release letter. I called Koodo Mobile and after an hour on hold the rep told me they cannot do this for me as I’m no longner with Koodo. She assured me that my balance is now $0 however they can’t give me a release letter. How do I go about this? Can someone direct me to the collection agency Koodo uses so I can contact them?
